DEFxBoston

Postponed | Boston, Massachusetts

Artificial Intelligence professionals from government, industry and academia will come together to educate and collaborate towards achieving the DOD AI Strategy. Through a mix of educational workshops, inspiring speakers and networking, individuals will leave DEFx Boston inspired and empowered. Our goal: To deploy A.I. effectively and responsibly, while protecting and growing the U.S. industrial and technological base.

UPDATE |  While COVID-19 may have prevented DEF from coming together in person, it will not stop our quest to move the needle on the culture of innovation. The Boston Agora team is charging forward with a series of member-only design thinking events aimed at further defining and shaping and proposing solutions to the problems associated with deploying AI effectively and responsibly.

4 April 2020 | The first of these events was a virtual webinar of talks and discussions to start framing the problem. Speakers included:

  • Justin Lynch, NSCAI

  • Luke Shabro, Army Mad Scientist

  • August Cole, Published Author

  • Kyle Palko, MIT AI Accelerator (Air Force)

  • Mike Kanaan, MIT AI Accelerator (Air Force)

  • Elsa Kania, Center for a New American Society

  • Special guest from the DoD Joint Artificial Intelligence Center
