Ethical Hacker Force DEFx Design Session: Cyber Punks and Ethical Hackers Wanted
We are assembling a dynamic team of innovative thinkers to help design a road map to create an ethical hacker cyber force dedicated to national security.
DEF member Joel L. Garrison has spearheaded this initiative with a concept paper accepted by The U.S. Naval War College’s Cyber and Innovation Policy Institute, to be presented at the prestigious CYBERCOM Workshop 2025 (May 28-30 in Newport, RI).
We are looking for a collaborative group of Virtuous Insurgents—scholars, practitioners, technologists, cyber professionals, DoD and government leaders, and others—interested in helping transform the cyber landscape. We're hosting this Ethical Hacker Force DEFx Design Session in Northern Virginia to facilitate the creation of this concept doc. Our goal: We aim to rethink entirely how America generates, maintains, and employs cyber forces—without traditional constraints.
